  WALT use study the bible to gain an understanding that we all need  God's help, mercy, and love, and we are all called to forgive others.

 

The Bible records many stories about "forgiving". The Lord Jesus also taught us like this: when we forgive men when they sin against us, our heavenly father will also forgive us. However, it's hard to forgive from our hearts. With God’s help, you can forgive. 

 

Your assignment is to research "forgiving", in the bible and share what you learned. You will need to use reference material such as biblegateway.com or search engines to locate stories of forgiveness in the Bible.

Dad shouted once more. His voice rumbled through the trees, scattering the birds that have been perched at the cans quenching their thirst. Ryder heard his voice. What shall I do? He wondered. Then he ran threw the dust with the hose, cleaning all his mess up so there were no evidence to be seen, in the corner of his eyes there was a shadow coming towards him but who’s. ‘’ Ryder!’’ his face palily and his eyes like a waterfall. He hid in his spot were he always hid when he was getting a hiding!. ‘’ Ryder you disgrace show your self’’ his voice-based like a gunshot. He was right on top of him. Terrified, Ryder shivered in the corner of his hideout.q

 

Snaping the wood of his underground entrance, dust impacting his eyes then a big hit smashed his arm emerging him from his hideout. ‘’Let me go!’’  he demanded, trying to run away. He took off Like a headless chicken zeg zagging through the crunchy field.  ‘’ Ryder! What were you thinking’’ dad yelled with veins popping out of his neck. Ryder's eyelids opened wider as his stomach sank, It just that we have nothing and i was just looking out for the family. ‘’ That sill unacceptable I could of lost my job because of your stupid act then we would of had nothing’’, ‘’ so take a quarter of the water back now !’’ but what about the rest of the water. ‘’ leave it for us the carter want know he grinded’’. Well emptying the quarter the water splashed out punching me in the gut, roling up the hose water pored down his legs like bald. The job was done  ‘’ Dad said this stay between me and you ok’’.

Entering the door Dad changed from nice to mad ‘’ why son just why. The more I look at you the more upset I come ’’ said mum. ‘’ He is going straight to his room’’. Days later no one found out and they went back to normal then the carters came over and the AQUA-PLEX drove up the 

driveway. Hello’’ said Mrs carter we come to give you some water. The operator climbed out of the transporter and walked round to the back. She tapped at the tablet in his hand. A hydraulic arm emerged from the transporter's side and field up their tank.  Tears rolled down their eyes, Thank you we all appreciate it.

 I have been learning to use show not tell to make my narrative interesting

To do this I have tried to have to describe what the characters think and feel. This is a story I changed with my bro.

The Rip                                              

   

There were two brothers who were not at all alike; they were different in every way. The younger brother stayed on the sand and the older brother was always in the water. The older brother liked to swim with his bros, diving, tumbling, bombing, snorkeling, and surfing in the waves. During the day the older brother liked to go on lots of action adventures but the younger brother would stay safe on the sand. Sometimes the older brother would creep up on the

 younger brother and drag him into the water. “Oh come on you little chicken, it’s only waves,” teased the older brother.

One morning their mother got angry with them,“ like a cat and a mouse!” out you go together,’’ she said, and try to be nice to each other just for once’, Jack is out swimming bombing and having fun while James is playing on the sand. jack tells James to come out for a swim because it is hot. James looks at the waves and thinks there to big for him to handle. ‘’James get in to hear you little baby or I will drag you in’’ said Jack‘’James said no I will not leave this sandbank’’.Jack goes out too far then he gets caught in a rip and gets pulled out over 50 meters away from shore.

 

His brother waited for him to come back from the water. Fear gripped his heart tears tethering to burst from his eyes. Knowing his brother might not come back James jumps in the water to go follow jack, knowing there were jellyfish, stingrays, and sharks but he was determent to save or see where his brother is. As James was swimming out to jack, he saw a fin behind jack. James started to yell’’ shark! Shark! Behind you’’ swim to me, Jack said’’ you swim to me the current is too strong’’.OK! Then he swims to him and they swim together slow and steady knowing there was a shark behind them. They made it to the sandbank thanking James for saving him.

They ran through the sand, down the road, and through the door. When they reached home, their mom was washing the dishes.’’ Hello,’’ she said, ’’ you two seem very quiet.‘’ is everything alright?’’ Jack smiled at his brother. James smiled back.

 In class, we have been reading an article based on the water we have been learning about reciprocal reading and the different types are prediction, clarification, questions/ answers, and summary.  

I think the hardest job is summarizing because you have to rewrite what you have read. 

How long will you live?

 In class, we have been learning about health. Health can be mentally and physically in all different ways.

 In class, we do a 'Cold Task' to find out what we already know. Our cold task was on narrative writing. This is a snapshot of what I did in 30 minis by myself.

We are learning to self-assess our writing so we know what we are good at and what we need to work on.

what I want to improve on in my writing is having figurative language ( simile, metaphor, idiom, assonance, alliteration personification

The pig ridding       

One day me and the boys when out on the farm and rid of the pigpen. Were stered at them for a while thinking what would happen to us if we tested them so we all jumped in and watched Kash trying to rid them. Then the unexpected happened Kash got bummed! 3 feet up in the air he was winded.

     

The pigs were angry they rubbed there noses in the dirt and charged like a bull and bumped me off my feet, and the others flew up onto the fens. We made a trap for the pigs. Jared dropped on top and ride it like there was no tomorrow, slapping it but making it do a wheelie and fell in pig poo. 

 Then we gave them a rest and left to the cowshed to have some cow milk.

Water Cycle

In class, we are learning about the water cycle and all the different types of the hydrologic cycle.

What book will inspire you- Hatchet

In class, I read Hatchet. I have been thinking about the author's message. We had to write a reading response to the book in testing conditions. Here are my thoughts about the book.

         Hatchet Novel Response

Name: Kayden

 In class, we have been reading a book about hatchets for a month or so and it has been interesting. It is about a boy going to see his Dad, then the pilot has a heart attack and the plane goes down. He got lost in the bash all alone with just a Hatchet and a torn windbreaker. 

I think the Author's message in the book is never to give up even in the bad times. In the text, it shows when Brian didn't give up, Brain tried to make a fire but didn't succeed. He tried and tried but only sparks then he struck and a stream of sparks fell into the bark making it glow. He thought what makes fire? oxygen so he made a little nest of bark then made the spark and blow making fire.

The Author's message as well is how bad it may be to look to the bright side. In the text, it shows Brian's response to the tornado is when the tornado destroyed everything he didn’t cry about it he looked to the bright side and said is that all you got I still have my hatchet and that's all I had in the being. He was different now he had changed he was tough.

In summary, Reading this book was interesting because it was different

Bush plane

  

Off we went on the bush plane heavily drowning in my thoughts about the divorce and the secret. Tears rolled down my cheeks gently comforting my lap. observing out the window from a bird's eye view then I wiped my eyes then glared at the pilot hoping he didn't see me crying. Ten minutes later the pilot said, ‘’ Boy do you want to fly the plane?’’ 

‘’Yes I replied’’. So I grabbed the steering wheel with a tight grip and pressed the pedal down making it do a backflip. I freaked out and started to sweat, then my vision went blurry, boom! blacked out for a couple of seconds. I woke up and the pilot was flying us like nothing happened.

After a while,  the plane was going side to side. I looked over to the pilot who was grimacing and holding his chest in agony. He started to complain about the pain.  He spoke into the microphone, ‘’this is flight 1. 2.’’ then the heart attack kicked in!. I started to punch the pilot in the head but he didn't wake up, ‘’He was dead!’’. Ahh! The plane is going down!’’ I screamed. So I took the steering wheel and gently pulled it back. ‘’ I am a pro at flying,’’ I said. beep, beep, beep the gas light went on. I screamed, I am going to die. Then I motivate myself. I can do this, I can do this. Then I came across a lake and the engines stopped!.

                                               

Awakening from a blackout, I am now head-on with the blue lake. Debuckling my seat belt I slid to the front windscreen boom, boom, boom it shattered into my face, no effect to me,  I flew out like an eagle and said, ‘’ for the boys’’ and did the New Zealand manu.

Courage writing snapshot

 

In class, I have been reading about Jesus Christ's life and looking for acts of courage. I then had thirty minutes to write about it. 

What is courage? According to Walt Disney, All our dreams can come true if 

We have the courage to pursue them. Jesus is the son of God and died for our sins so we had a chance to go to heaven and live with our God. He came to earth as a human, he spoke the bible to people. I am writing about how courage is seen in the life of Jesus.

The Wildness

One day Jesus was in the wildness and didn't eat for forty days and forty Nights then the devil make his move. In Matthew, 4:1 it says He refused to bow down to the devil. And spoke the word of God And man shall not live on the bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

I can learn from this by not getting tempted by others.

The storm

One day Jesus and his disciple went on a boat in the ocean then a massive storm came along. The Disciple got scared of the substantial storm. Luke 8.23-25 says Jesus rebuked the wind and the raging storm, not letting the fear overcome him. I can learn from this by overcoming fear and trusting in Jesus

To sum up, Jesus showed all these different ways of showing courage.
