Kayden facts about Kiwi

After dinner on the beach, as the moon came out from behind the hills we had karakia. During karakia, we heard kiwis talking to each other in high pitch voices. Then we split off into groups under the bright moon after a while later we found a kiwi so we ran beside it until it went under the fence and scattered away into the ngahere.

Name: KAYDEN

                                    Guided writing

                                        orientation

One day in The Moana Nui a kiwa on the island of Hawaiki there lived a muscular man called Kupe. He was a feisty warrior and explorer and no one dared to fight him because he was a killer. The island was small and the village was cramped. Lush tropical trees covered the island. Standing on the golden sand, with his taiaha firmly in his hand Kupe surveyed the Empty ocean. The ocean karangatia to Kupe.

                                         problem

‘’This island is too cramped, there isn’t enough space for us’’ Kupe said to Ngahue. ‘’Ae! Te wheke is eating all the kai,’’ crawled Ngahue. Te wheke was Muturangis hungry greedy enormous octopus.

                                           Climax

For weeks the warriors pursued Te wheke. The chase was hard. The rain

                        pelleted

Down and the wind rocked Matawhaorua the back and forth like a swing. The warriors were starving and they were bubbling up with anger like a volcano getting ready to explode!

                                          Solution

Finally, Kupe came up with a solution ‘’Let's trap that cheeky Te wheke in a cave!’’

Later that evening Kupe threw the calabashes at Te wheke to distract him. He then pounced on Te wheke and smashed him between his eyes making blood splatter ever were.
